Access to Capital, Less Regulation, Skilled Employees, Technology

According to “The State of Small Business in America” report issued by Babson College, U.S. small businesses face both challenges and opportunities for access to capital, regulations, employee development, and technology. The report’s purpose was to advance knowledge and ideas for facilitating a vibrant entrepreneurial growth for U.S. businesses.

The report was based on the input of more than 1,800 respondents across the U.S. with at least $150,000 in revenues and four employees. Respondents included small businesses that were identified as growth-oriented by participating in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program as well as a comparative random sample of businesses by size and age criteria without specific growth identification.
